Then fire came out from before the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the portions of fat on the altar; and when all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.
Fall on your face before the Lord in humility. Glorifying him, waiting for his revelation with reverence. To lay in prostrate before the Lord is the lowest position you can take. Your face is to the ground. Your head is bowed the lowest it can be. Your position vulnerable. Eyes closed waiting on the Lord to reveal himself. In this position the Lord can pass by. In this position you will not be blinded by his glory. The proud will be blinded for they will think they can stand to see his glory but as Moses said show me your Glory in shielded form by the grace of God he was quickly shone the back of him and even that gesture turned Moses hair white and set bright light upon his being.
Prostration, the purest and humblest form of surrender where God can come close and reveal his glory and speak to you if his truths and wonders.
Try it.
